Kammerhof Museum in Gmunden
The Kammerhof, dating back to 1450, originally housed an authority for administrating the salt monopoly. Today, the Kammerhof Museum of Gmunden uses the old walls. As a curiosity, you find a compilation of historical toilet bowls inside.
Neuenburg Castle in Freyburg
Neuenburg Castle (Schloss Neuenburg), located in the wine-growing area of Saale-Unstrut, accommodates a wine museum. I took this photo while enjoying a boat trip on the Unstrut River.

The Museum of Military History (Heeresgeschichtliches Museum) in Vienna is an architectural gem. So you find architecture in the style of Byzantine as well as Neo-Gothic. Some details made me think of being in Venice

Huts of Hallstatt culture
Long before the Romans established their province of Noricum on the grounds of today’s Styria, people of the Hallstatt culture lived here. Near the Styrian place of Großklein, you find a reconstruction of farmhouses dating back to the Hallstatt period.
Fireless steam locomotive
I came across this fireless steam locomotive at the Chemnitz Museum of Industry. It used to work in industrial facilities where no open fire was allowed. For example, you could find them in mines, and food or chemical factories.
Beatles Museum in Halle (Saale)
The Beatles Museum in Halle (Saale) tells about the famous band on three floor. It shows pieces from the beginning in the 1960s until their separation in 1970. It also displays material about their solo careers after 1970.
Station Sign ‘SÜDBAHNHOF’
The railway station Südbahnhof closed in 2009 forever. Later, I saw the letters placed above the entrance of the Wien Museum. I wonder how many visitors realised the museum was labelled like a railway station.
Kunsthaus Wien
There is a splash of colour in the grey streets of the 3rd district of Vienna: the Kunsthaus Wien. The former furniture factory for Thonet chairs now houses a museum for Friedensreich Hundertwasser and shows photo exhibitions that attract attention.
