Kunsthaus Wien
There is a splash of colour in the grey streets of the 3rd district of Vienna: the Kunsthaus Wien. The former furniture factory for Thonet chairs now houses a museum for Friedensreich Hundertwasser and shows photo exhibitions that attract attention.
Templar museum
The Templar Museum at Lockenhaus Castle (Austria) presents the history of the Knights Templar. Besides that, it tells about Austrian places related to this military order.
Goethe Garden House
The Goethe garden house is a building in the Ilmpark of Weimar. It was Goethe’s home and workplace until he moved to the Frauenplan in June 1782. Here, he wrote the famous ballad of the Erlkönig and the poem To the Moon. [German]
Silent Night Museum in Hallein
In August 2006, I went to the Silent Night Museum (Stille-Nacht-Museum) in Hallein. It primarily deals with Franz Xaver Gruber who is considered the composer of the famous Christmas carol Silent Night (Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht).
Lower Belvedere Palace
Lower Belvedere Palace (Unteres Belvedere) and Upper Belvedere Palace (Oberes Belvedere) constitute an ensemble near Vienna Main Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof). Both palaces are venues of a museum and gallery named Belvedere. Next to the Lower Belvedere one also can visit art exhibitions in the former Orangery and the Palace Stables of the ensemble.
Municipal museum in Weimar
The municipal museum of Weimar is housed in the Bertuchhaus. This former residential and commercial building was built in the years 1780/1803 in classicistic style. Its name goes back to the then owner Friedrich Justin Bertuch, who worked as a writer and publisher. [German]

Haus Kemnade, first mentioned in 1410, now houses a restaurant and several museums. In addition to the musical instrument collection Grumpt and the East Asian Art Collection Ehrich, a nearby farmhouse and a bee museum complement the cultural offer. [German]

The State Museum Schwerin (Staatliches Museum Schwerin) opened in 1882. Particularly well-known exhibits are the animal representations of the French painter Jean Baptiste Oudry and several objects created by Marcel Duchamp. [German]

For many years, the Gastein collector Hans Breyer (1927-1997) collected gramophones, radios and cameras. The Schinderhaus houses this collection (Technische Sammlung Hans Breyer), making it accessible to visitors to Bad Hofgastein. [German]
