Ha, isn’t it a cutie? I saw this microcar – generally known as Heinkel Kabine – in the German city of Constance (Konstanz). It was obviously a participant in the activities along the International Lake Constance Week (Internationale Bodenseewoche). [German]
Heinkel Kabine
The microcar Heinkel Kabien was a product of the German aircraft manufacturing company Heinkel Flugzeugwerke. This company produced aeroplanes until 1945. One of its most famous planes was the Heinkel He 178.
After World War II, the product range changed to bicycles, motor scooters and microcars, aka bubble cars.
I took the photo of this Heinkel Kabine while strolling around the festival of the International Lake Constance Week (Internationale Bodenseewoche). This traditional event takes place at the harbour of Constance’s historic city centre. It’s not only a meeting point for lovers of classic cars but also for power boats.
