Cute! A cat observing people in front of an ice cream shop in my native town Graz, Austria. I wonder what it is thinking right at that moment. Any ideas?

Steam locomotive 33.132
While my train was waiting at the railway station of Mürzzuschlag, this mighty steam locomotive passed by. The locomotive number 33.132 is part of the BBÖ Class 113 and saw its construction in 1925. It still runs for vintage train journeys by the company B&B Blue Train.
Sundial in Mistelbach
A sundial seen next to the railway station Mistelbach – Stadt. The sundial placed at a private building depicts regional agricultural produce. The German phrase ‘Nuetz die Zeit!’ reminds people to use their time carefully.
Mural in Deutsch-Wagram
Interesting mural seen at an abandoned building next to the railway station of Deutsch-Wagram. It shows a train dating back to the first days of passenger trains in Austria. On 23rd November 1837 the first steam train of the Austrian empire started to run from Floridsdorf to Deutsch-Wagram.
Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt
On a sunny May day, I visited an exhibition about the composer Joseph Haydn at Esterházy Palace (Schloss Esterházy). He worked here for several years in the service of the castle owner.
Storks in Deutschkreutz
A trip through Burgenland wouldn’t be complete without taking photos of storks. One can see their nests on many roofs in the easternmost state of Austria. Coincidentally, I found the nest with the most storks on top of a house that bore the name Burgenland.
Having Tafelspitz in Deutschkreutz
‘Big’ surprise at a Heuriger in Burgenland: At the Schnitzelheuriger Posch, I got this large portion of Tafelspitz. It is a traditional Austrian dish made of beef.
Deutschkreutz Castle in Burgenland
At Deutschkreutz Castle (Schloss Deutschkreutz), I had a guided tour by its owner Anton Lehmden. He was a member of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism. You find many of his works in the rooms of the castle.
Sacral room of the Templars at Lockenhaus Castle
After walking through the Templar museum at Lockenhaus Castle, I came across this mysterious room. It is said to be a sacred site of the Templars. Other voices say it is just a cistern.
Painting lessons at Lockenhaus Castle
Let’s play “Guess the movie”! This photo was taken at that castle where I created a painting with some coffee and gold leaf. There is still some gold at my finger, so about which movie I am speaking?
Coffee art at Lockenhaus Castle
After taking a lesson in Latte Art, I did it again: making art with coffee. At Lockenhaus Castle, I took a class in painting with coffee and gold led by the Austrian artist Stefanie Moro. I “klimt” the Iron Maiden I saw in the castle vault.
Room Elisabeth at Lockenhaus Castle
At Lockenhaus Castle, I stayed in the room “Elisabeth”. Whereas the room was old-fashioned furnished, the bathroom was pretty modern. It was a corner room, so I had a great view of the place of Lockenhaus and parts of the castle itself.
