I found this depiction at the State Museum of Archaeology in Constance (Archäologisches Landesmuseum Baden-Württemberg). It shows a mobile baking oven which used to supply the crowds with bread during the Council of Constance (1414-1418).

Archaeology and Playmobil 2014 (Exhibition)
Every year at the State Museum of Archaeology in Constance, an exhibition takes place in cooperation with the toy company Playmobil. In 2014 the exhibition topic was the Council of Constance (1414-1418). The title of the exhibiton was ‘Voll bis unters Dach‘.
Hus Museum in Constance
The Hus Museum is situated at the Hus-Haus, which was supposed to be Jan Hus’ harbourage before he got arrested. During my stay in Constance, a historian told me this was wrong. Jan Hus did probably stay in another building. The Hus Museum is worth a visit anyway.
Stone of Hus in Constance
The stone of Hus (Hussenstein) marks the supposed spot where Jan Hus was burned at the stake on 6 July 1415. Though the black boulder was named after Hus it also reminds of another victim burned at the same spot: Jerome of Prague.
Imperia in Constance
The statue of Imperia stands at the port of Constance (Konstanz). It reminds of the Council of Constance in the years 1414-1418. [German]

In 2013 the German states of Saxony and Thuringia are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the architect and designer Henry van de Velde. For this reason, exhibitions take place in cities like Weimar, Jena, Erfurt, Gera, Apolda, Bürgel, and Chemnitz.
Maypole in Schorndorf
The photo depicts a maypole at the marketplace of Schorndorf. The signs placed at the maypole represent different industries working in the city. Are there similar maypoles in your region?
U-Turm Bilderuhr in Dortmund
The landmark of Dortmund is the big U on top of a former brewery building. Today the building houses besides others the Museum Ostwall and some exhibition rooms. The elements looking like mosaics are actually movies shown high over the city.
Pithead bath in Dortmund
A detail I was especially impressed in. At the coking plant Hansa I saw a pithead bath. In this hall the workers put their clothes in special frameworks. Each framework is movable up and down by a chain.
Kokerei Hansa in Dortmund
Kokerei Hansa is a former coking plant in Dortmund. Today the plant houses a huge climbing gym named Kletterhalle Bergwerk and the remaining installations can be visited by guided tours.
Sundheimer Huhn at Zeche Zollern
In earlier times German miners used to have a small garden for vegetable and animals behind their homes. While strolling around a mining settlement next to the colliery Zeche Zollern I came across this special breed of chickens. In German they are called Sundheimer.
