I had known Nuremberg is famous for its Lebkuchen but I was surprised how many sorts of bread this bread store (Feinkost Nikolaus Schwarz) is offering. Amazing how different the outer crusts and the crumbles of each loaf look like. And yes, I always love a good piece of bread. What about you?

On an ICE T in Germany
This photo shows a view into the driver’s cabin of a German ICE T. In this kind of train, you had the chance to sit behind the driver – only separated by a glass door – and to watch the landscape in front of the train for many years.
Regina Pacis in Bonn
Wilhelm Rottermondt created this statue of the “Regina Pacis”. In English, this title translates to Our Lady Queen of Peace. You find this sculpture in a niche on the facade of the University of Bonn, also known as Rhenish Friedrich Wilhelm University of Bonn.
The ‘Brezel’ Lady on the ICE
A detail I really love: On my way from Hamburg to Munich a lady boarded the ICE and sold Brezel until she left the train at the next station. I was told in summer they are selling ice cream instead. Nice idea, isn’t it? Is there a similar service in your region too?
