Next to the WEIN+TRAUBEN Welt (Wine & Grapes Universum) of the Vinoversum in Poysdorf there is a sculpture park displaying works created by the sculptor Martin Messinger. The naked man and the lady standing at the road between Vienna and Brno are just eye catchers for the park which is hidden behind the wall.

Street art in Poysdorf
Poysdorf, a place famous for its wine in the Austrian state of Lower Austria, is coverd with 100+ depictions of wine bottles each decorated by a different artist. Love No. 55 which I found in the beginning of the hollow way Radyweg.
Nine-pin bowling alley in Poysdorf
At the open air museum of the Vino Versum in Poysdorf I came across this traditional nine-pine bowling alley. In former times such an alley was part of a well equipped inn. The location was generally outside so there was much room for the audience.

An exhibit with an interesting story seen at the Hall of Grapes in Poysdorf is the vineyard goat (Weinbeergoaß). This symbol is said to go back to a biblical story of Noah: After observing a goat eating grapes he tried them for himself and became the father of winegrowing.

Dragon at Altenburg Abbey
To my surprise, one of the frescoes at the church of Altenburg Abbey (Stift Altenburg) includes a dragon. The creator of these frescoes was Paul Troger.
The golden stove of Altenburg Abbey
On my walk through the basement vaults of Altenburg Abbey I came across this reconstruction of a Gothic tower stove. While unearthing the old monastery, the workers discovered 62 tiles showing Bible stories, saints, emblems and symbols. They were probably created in the years between 1480 and 1510.
