A longshot of the Marienbrücke taken from a balcony of Neuschwanstein Castle (Schloss Neuschwanstein). From there one has an excellent view over the whole castle. The bridge can be reached by bus starting near the ticket office in Hohenschwangau.
The bridge was built in 1866 and named after Marie of Prussia, the mother of King Ludwig II of Bavaria.
The bridge became famous for being a fine photo point. From there you can shot pics like this one. Unfortunately, the castle was in the shade during my visit.
